We had to take Amos to the vet this last Sunday. He had a cracked toenail that needed to be removed. We think he smacked it on the metal rail for the sliding glass door. Once in a while, we hear a horrible sound when he runs outside and he yanks his hind foot up… Continue reading Sunday Summaries #29: Vet Visit and Library Week Letdown
I had my appointment with the surgeon yesterday. So here is a little breast cancer update. I have ICD & DCIS (Invasive ductal carcinoma and ductal carcinoma in situ.) I am at Stage 1, Grade 3. I am facing surgery and radiation, at least. The hospital is at Tier 2 Alert because of the coronavirus.… Continue reading Breast Cancer Update
Indigo: Hello, folks. We're back. Garren: Mostly because Judy hasn't changed her password on us. Indigo: And because she is still recovering from her surgery. Garren: Yeah, but she's doing really well. I think she's even started back on the novella she was working on. Indigo: She is. She showed it to me. Garren: She… Continue reading Wild Wednesday #4: Easter Eggs!
Even with surgery, I have somehow managed to keep the streak alive. Today is 200 days in a row of writing every day. Now, it is nap time.
Just a heads up... It will be out in paperback as well. Coming March 1, 2020. It will include A Very Birthday Christmas, two totally new short stories (only available in this edition) and the first chapter of the next book.
I am having a tiny, personal celebration because today my writing streak hit 180 days. That's roughly six months of writing every single day. I'm not sure that I have ever done that before. This week I had two serious "holy crap" moments. There is a series that I have been working on since high school. I seriously started it in the 1980's. (Aprox 1986-ish?) I never completed anything for it. I have recently been going through the literally hundreds of pages of notes and random chapters for it… Continue reading Sunday Summaries #16: Dragons and ENT’s
This last week has been a struggle. By Friday, I realized that I hadn't written down anything that I finished all week, and my tracking system is completely empty sans word count. And my word count isn't what I wanted it to be either. Amos has been throwing up almost every day. We are working… Continue reading Sunday Summaries #15: Rough Week and a Birthday
Newest story available soon! Clara wakes up on Christmas morning to find that her Christmas dreams had not come true.Or had they?A childhood tale of learning gratitude and personal creativity and individuality.
After some discussion... I think I am going to combine the "streak" theory with the "black-out day" theory like this: The "daily minimum" for black-out days will be smaller than the daily minimum for normal days. Thus, hopefully, upping my regular daily word count, as well as maintaining the streak. It's time to add on,… Continue reading New Solution
