This last week has been all about Amos. His toe isn’t healing quite right, so we are going to have to take him into the vet again. But this last week was all about keeping him off his foot and waiting to see if an antibiotic would help. It seems to be getting better very slowly, but I want to see what our vet has to say about it at this point. He seems very uncomfortable and I hate seeing him that way. So he and I have spent a lot of hours together this last week, just hanging out.
Not a lot of writing got done through the doggin’ time. I did manage to maintain the streak, but that’s about it. I cycled through the novella I have been wanting to finish, and I got a little bit of writing done on it, but not the way I had originally planned for the week. But plans change when health issues, side effects, stress, and a whimpering dog come into play.
Radiation treatments start this week, which is a part of why I was so unproductive this last week. A little bit of stress, plus getting used to the new medication I am on. Cancer treatment meds have some really fun side effects that are kicking in. *eye roll* Plus, I found out at my appointment this last week that because of my Meniere’s, they have to all sorts of weird precautions because of my fall risk. Apparently radiation makes your ribs extremely brittle, so I have to be in a super awkward position for radiation so they can reduce rib cage contact as much as possible. They don’t want my ribs to shatter if/when I fall in the future.
Picture of the Week: Amos LOVES Lauren Graham from the Gilmore Girls. He actually watches the show. He was all cute and happy watching GG, so I decided to get a picture of him smiling. This is his “You’re blocking it” face as he tried to look around me to continue watching the show.
This last week:
